“The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present.  The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion.
As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.”

Abraham Lincoln

Can we help you or your team to “think anew and act anew”?

Do call me or email me and let’s think together about the ways in which I and my colleagues can help you to “rise with the occasion”.

I’m amazed that Abraham Lincoln said those words well over a century ago, when they seem so relevant to the times we are living in.

They probably speak particularly loudly to me because my work for the past eighteen years has centred on helping others - individual executives, newly-formed or existing teams - to create the conditions in which they can think afresh about the challenges they face, taking their thinking out beyond the boundaries they may have set for themselves and generating the courage to act in new ways.

This has been typically - but not exclusively - through facilitating meetings, strategic reviews, team and individual coaching sessions, and by training managers to replicate the conditions for fresh, independent thinking.

Along the way my colleagues and I have discovered that leaders can emerge from any level of the organisation and that diverse groups are more creative than homogenous ones, so my work has also contributed to genuine diversity and distributed leadership.

I’ve worked with organisations in both the private and the public sector, as diverse as EasyJet and the Human Tissue Authority, with tri-cultural, tri-lingual teams in Brussels, and with multinational groups from Geneva to Stockholm.

The foundation of all my work is the Thinking Environment® model developed by Nancy Kline (for more information click on the Time to Think logo.)
